Bruce Macklin (Partner, Fray & Associates Hospitality Management and Consulting) has been in the hospitality industry for a couple of decades. In the 90's at Herman Miller Bruce was responsible for collecting, analyzing and presented facility related data for client performance reviews, assisted with the execution of startup plan for new warehouse and facility services division. For Multicorp Office Services and Beretta Organic Farms Bruce created a 25% increase in business for two consecutive years, developed and implemented presentations resulting in faster sales cycles and successfully managed all personal account projects ensuring repeat business. He also assisted in the development & marketing of new products, created and implemented customer management database to improve customer service & to eliminate redundancies, created monthly financial statements and presented to Principles. In 2006 Bruce was involved in the opening of the newly renovated Toronto's historical building 'Palais Royale Ballroom'. For the next 7 years Bruce successfully managed events with guest counts in excess of 1000 people, Created weekly budgets for labour and beverage costs designed to meet operational targets. He was responsible for hiring, training and scheduling of over 70 FOH Staff & conducting performance reviews and was in charge of the daily cash management & reconciliation. Bruce sourced, setup & installed an iPAD POS system, (TouchBistro) at the Palais that provided each server an iPAD to allow for industry unprecedented restaurant table service. In 2013, Bruce joined TouchBistro and has been consulting with hospitality establishments for the last couple of years. Bruce brings the passion and experience from his years in the hospitality field to Fray & Associates and with his leadership skills he will help take this company global.
